i prefer co-op but only by LAN... otherwise... alone..., and you? do you enjoy the online co-op?

Lan is prefered for me, I was always put off a bit by the characters I met on battle.net with glowing armour that chased me around with super powerful swords.

Co-op. Mainly so I can whoop ass with someone to watch.

I only played with friends and friends of friends. Never with random b.netters. Sometimes I'd try to play alone too, but I would always get bored of that.

I like online co-op, which works cause most of my friends will be getting this and we can play online together.

CO-op online FTW is a good way to make new friends and enemies. ^___^

I've tried playing Diablo in co-op LAN once, and I didn't especially like it- possibly because I was playing with only one friend at the time. I say I'd go with online co-op, simply because you're not limited to play only with people in your immediate vicinity.

I loved 8 player diablo runs the most fun thing in the world. unfortunately that meant hopeing that i would find enough people online who would play them with me.

I preferred playing it alone, but online is fun as well.

Co-Op online. Plenty of players, a stable economy and great fun overall. I like the fact that there is never a shortage of players. I do go on Ladder rather than non-ladder.

I will play it through alone first for the story and to beable to play at my own pace and see everything. After playing it through first once though I will take it online in the hopes the free for all pvp is as fun as diablo 1.09 pre Ith was.

Co - op online is the way to go, but my connection is awful latley, so I will have to be content with single player for now.

Co-op Online typically with a few RL friends, though I usually have another character that I play solo as well.

I prefer LAN, but that's true for pretty much all the games I play online. There's just something about sitting in the same room as the folk's you're playing with.

YAY for co-op! online gets really boring sometimes, and single player is rubbish. LAN is awesome though :D

I like online, but sometimes it's nice to play a game alone. Nobody expects you to try to be better than anyone else, and it feels like a game again, not like a contest.

Mostly played alone for the story line. b.net coop for boss runs.

Single player . I get to enjoy the game without annoying people , but maybe after I beat the game I'll beat it again with some of my friends .

I think the greatest strength of the Diablo series is the "story behind the game" and the very idea that you are alone in the quest of defeating Diablo himself, which obviously can only be enjoyed if played alone. I am not against Diablo 3's multiplayer option, I am just suggesting that players should have the option to play their single player characters in online servers as well. So that people like me, that enjoy playing in single player mode will have an option to use that character in online multiplayer modes as well. I can enjoy the game entirely without losing the chance to play on servers.

Diablo alone is boring to me :/

Is there any official new regarding this multiplayer feature? I'm guessing that Blizzard will make the same old Diablo like features that contains a single player mode without co-ops. I guess, the only co-op oppurtunity in this coming Diablo 3 is by the multilayer mode, much like as it had in the past Diablo series.

I've only ever done co-op play a couple times. I look forward to trying it in Diablo 3, however.

Co-op LAN

Cooperative online, only in guild games. Ever since I went in to the original Diablo like Bambi, thinking how wonderful it would be to play with people from all over the world, only to have some SOB PK me, yell "I ROOL! U SUCK! HAHAHAHAHA!" I gave up playing with people I don't know. In fact, until my wife talked me into joining a guild I almost threw the game away and gave up online playing.

I am proud to say that I have a lot of 80+ characters in Diablo 2 LOD, including a level 99 barb, who earned every single point in passworded guild games. Not ONE POINT earned in general Bnet games. In short, you wanna play with Herp, Herp's gotta trust you.

I'm a loner player, and I hated my fellow Diablo characters.

I remember Diablo would always make for some pretty good LAN parties, except for I would always die.
